About us
Community Pulse is a nonprofit organization in Zambia focused on strengthening community participation in health and helping communities engage meaningfully with the systems and services intended to support their health.
We believe stronger health outcomes are possible when people have access to useful information, understand the services available to them, participate in decisions affecting their health, and when health systems learn from community experience.
What we do
Supporting communities with practical, accessible information that helps people understand health needs and available services.
Promoting informed demand for quality health services and helping identify barriers that affect access and appropriate use of care.
Strengthening opportunities for community voices and lived experience to contribute to responsive and people-centred health systems.
Supporting evidence-informed approaches and learning that can improve how community health needs are understood and addressed.
Our approach
Community-centred: We start with the realities, experiences and priorities of communities.
Evidence-informed: We value data, implementation learning and lived experience as foundations for better decisions.
Collaborative: Sustainable progress depends on communities, health systems and partners working together.
Systems-oriented: We look beyond individual activities to the relationships and structures that shape access, participation and health outcomes.
